What

FailCamp is a celebration of failure. It’s about sharing your tales of epic fail and the lessons you learned from them. It’s about learning not to view failure as a defeat, but as a learning opportunity and stepping stone to success. It’s about taking away the fear of failure and learning to take a chance, think big and achieve what you thought you couldn’t.

The idea from having a FailCamp in Montreal comes from Frédéric Harper. You can read more on the blog post he did about this subject.

How

You have two choice:

Submit a session

  1. Send your idea by e-mail.
  2. You need to provide a title, an abstract of maximum 250 words, your name and your e-mail address.
  3. We will have a computer running Windows 7 and PowerPoint 2010 (or you can provide your own) with a projector to have visual for attendees.
  4. Your talk needs to fit into 15 minutes and we will give you another 5 minutes to answer questions.
  5. Your subject needs to be a talk about failure and what you have learned from it and how people can learn from it as well.

Two weeks before the event, we will choose three speakers for the first FailCamp Montreal. If we have a lot of proposals, we will try to make this event happen more frequently. You will, at this time, receive an e-mail to confirm that you will be doing a presentation at FailCamp Montreal.

Sponsors

FailCamp Montreal is a non-profit event. If you want to sponsor us, you will get on-site coverage and during the event. The sponsorship will help us pay our fees and give free drinks to the attendees.
